Part III Most American cartridge you killed game with

This is entirely a opinion post. What cartridge have you used on game that just breaths and bleeds America. I am talking about if you were telling somebody about it and the first thought would be "Boy! That's a pure American cartridge". My personal opinion "American" cartridge pick would be the 270 Winchester but I am sure the 30 cals will rule the roost.

M1 Garand in 30-06. That screams America louder than many guns and cartridges.

45 Colt out of a Winchester 1873. Big buck front legs folded and and that was it. No jump, buck, kick or run off. Easy retrieve I ever had.

Birds, 12 and 20 gauge. Small game .22 short hp. Everything else has been, from start to now, 30-30, .308, 30-06, .270 and 6.5 Creedmoor. From 1984 through 2020 was strictly the .270. Don’t know which would be purely American but I am and I own them, so there is that.

So, have you required a wide variety of ammo to accomplish that, or have you done it with just a few?
I think I know the answer……
