Well I ate some in July that were ripe down at Deep Fork. Slightly astringent, but really weird that they were essentially ripe. 
I looked at the trees in my yard while mowing yesterday, and they have a long way to go. Its going to be a good crop of them though. late oct to nov they will really be dropping in the northern part of the state. I remember being at Big Mac last year on a bow hunt, the second week of Oct and they were just about finished dropping out of the trees, so they are ahead of us. Maybe being further south, and warmer springs?
