my experience has been with DI ARs. I am wanting to buy a piston-driven. However, I have no experience in piston AR platforms.

LWRC M6 16” carbine. About 10-12 tears old, maybe a little under 1000 rounds fired thru it. Flawless functioning, fast easy cleaning procedure. BCG stays cool and comparatively (to DI actions) clean. Only slight drawback I notice is the muzzle end is a bit heavier than DI versions.

What are some of the best piston drive AR15s (complete rifles)?
Complete rifles are irrelevant. The piston system is all in the upper. I had an Adams in 5.45x39. It was the t*ts. I think there's Adams and everyone else when it comes to this type of operating system.

I've had experience with several. Beretta ARX-100, Sig 556, Sig-516, Sig 556R, Armalite AR-180B, WASR AK and Adam's Arms conversion kit.

They all functioned great.
