I'll strongly disagree with you there. 100%.
That's ok, I'm used to it.

So many falsehoods in this post. Let me simplify the answer though:
No study has actually said pot is a gateway drug anymore than any study has proven banning the AR15 will make us safer.
Socialist policies have ruined the 6 cities you mentioned, not the fact that weed was legalized.
Rationalize it? How about compare it to drinking alcohol. Some people can partake in alcohol without having any problems, others abuse it.
The only real social impact it has is the fact so many people end up in prison for possession or sales. You don't see people stealing for a marijuana addiction, those are generally addicted to other drugs like coke, heroin and meth.
I know someone that uses MJ because nothing else relieves the pain he has. He is almost 70 and has a terminal disease that I cannot pronounce. He takes very strong opioids and they don’t give him the relief he needs to be able to sleep. When he uses weed it takes the pain away and he is able to sleep. There is an actual use for it. Are there a lot that want it legalized just because? Yes. But there are many that have an actual need for it. God put it here for a reason. It ain’t all about getting high. So go ahead and stereotype everyone that is in support of it as “foreheads” or whatever else.Another dope thread, ad nauseam; ad infinitum..
Along with the usual suspects, of course.
People who defend their addictions (and, alcohol is addictive, but those are two separate issues. M'kay?) deliberately ignore what we've learned in this last decade. "What might that be?" you ask?
Four simple words: Denver, Durango, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles and San Fransicko. Well, that's nine words, but you get the point. Their massive tent cities, "homelessness" (aka, bums and addicts) have one thing in common, viz. they're drawn together by narcotics. And those cities are the epicenters of states that legalized recreational marijuana. That's the future of Oklahoma but, hey! As long as you get your fix, it's all good.
But, go ahead and rationalize and justify and smoking that crap.
Because at some point the feds are going to merge the pot cards with the 4470 rolls and, when DC does so, they will come knocking.
Smoking cigarettes is bad, but smoking dope is good? Sounds like the rationale of a degenerate addict.
1. Can you cite a "study" that proves that MJ is NOT a gateway drug?
2. Perhaps socialist policies have strongly contributed, but that includes legalizing weed.
3. I'm sorry, but someone "selling," even just MJ, is just a "wee bit" more serious than just possession of the same. That can be adding to the "social impact" upon others and not just those imprisoned.
