Knew this guy from high school but we hadn't kept up much. His older sister is good friends with my sister though and so news came through the grapevine.
He was helping an older man change a flat @ 15th and Santa Fe in Edmond last week on Wednesday and a lady not paying attention hit him at 50 mph and pinned him between her car and the old man's car.
He's been in ICU since. They thought they saved his legs but one had to be amputated below the knee on Friday and the other is looking 50:50 at the moment. He used >20 units of blood and has been through 4 operations so far. He's going to live, but it'll be rough.
