Process to renew conceal Carry Permit

My CCW expires in 2014. What is the process to renew? How far in advance should I start the renewal process?

You can't start any sooner than 90 days before expiration. That's plenty of time. You also have 30 days leeway, you can carry for 30 days past expiration. Just go to OSBI site, film out the paperwork, mail it off with payment and you are good.

Send it in 90 days before expiration. Took the full 90 plus a phone call after expiration date to get mine renewed. Get the 10 year so you don't have to jack with it again in 5.

I got my original for 5, but I am DEFINITELY renewing for 10. I have until 2015, though.

I don't know if they still do it, but on both of my renewals, OSBI sent me a renewal packet. Of course, they weren't eleventy months back-logged back then.

If I'm not mistaken, OSBI sends out a renewal notice with instructions on renewal.
