Do not count on a renewal reminder from OSBI. Take care of reminding yourself by putting the date LESS ABOUT 95 DAYS on a paper and/or electronic calendar. Mail it in 90 days BEFORE it expires. That's 90, not 91. An fillable PDF version of the renewal application is available on the OSBI website; print it off when you complete it. Conventional blank paper version of same is available from OSBI; allow extra time for them to mail one to you.
Get your two passport type photo's; see instructions on application.
Gather funds in a method permitted by application.
Mail it off 90 days before current permit expires.
No way to tell how fast/slow OSBI will be running when you actually need to send in your application. Right now some folks are getting theirs back in something around six weeks. A few months ago some were reporting over twelve weeks.
