I have to respectfully disagree...

To OP...why do you belong to a gun forum? If you vote democrat, you vote against your right to own a gun, therefore you should not own a gun...does that make you a hypocrite? Sry but I just had to ask.
you realize that Vermont is a liberal state with some of the loosest gun laws. Just thought I would bring that up. Personally I don't think that religion, abortion or gun laws should be a part of ANY politicians campaign. Because people will vote on dumb chit like that and not look at what really matters. Red or blue. Who gives a fuk? Your gonna get screwed anyway.
Carry on.

You're nnnnn right? Romney is a worse offender of gun rights than Obama and our beloved Reagan stuck us squarely in the back in 86 and not to be out done that doofus Bush Sr supported the Gun Control Act of 68 and then signed his own ban on "assault" rifles in 89.

Republicans aren't anymore pro-2A than democrats.

This!!

It's merely a diversion from o's miserable record. My first thought, when I heard about the tax return issue, was "is that all you dems have?" In o's america, if you're successful, you should be punished.

J.B., in all seriousness I think Romney released some of his tax records but won't go any further because if he releases 5 years of them, the media, Harry Reid, etc. will ask for 6. If he gives in and releases 6, they'll ask for 7 and so on and so on. If I were in Romney's position, I wouldn't give them any more than what I felt comfortable with because no matter what they'll make a big deal out of what I DIDN'T do, rather what I DID do. I do agree with you that he only released 2 years worth because if the American people see how much he's really paying in taxes, it WILL alienate some who buy into the class warfare meme. (Personally, I DON'T trust the rich, I know they're not out for my best interests and vote my conscience. But it's sure better than becoming the failed quasi-socialist mess that Europe is in and that seems to be the only alternative anybody is offering to corporate greed)

Speaking of class warfare, you spend a lot of time telling us Re-poo-blicans how we turn a blind eye to corporate greed and how the rich are out to take our souls and livelihoods and that we shouldn't trust them but we ignore it. You have spent many a thread describing your net worth and what you pay in taxes every quarter and it's SURE a lot more than mine and my family. So why should I trust YOU? Sure, you're not a corporation who bases his success on his bottom line. You're not Romney or even Obama rich (or are you?) Probably work hard, serving those who need representation (and many of us do), do a lot of pro bono work...... but at the end of the day, you take home some damn good money. You live with wealth that most of us will never see. In my eyes, that makes you the very thing you warn us to beware of.

I do very well. Pay a lot every quarter.

And I do work like a madman, so does 90% of my staff.

Making a profit and trying to do the right think are not mutually exclusive. More people should try it.

The birth certificate is REQUIRED BY LAW to become president. Tax returns are not, but I forgot, liberals don't actually have to obey laws that don't suit them.
