If this guy is not lying about his service, his training was VERY lacking.
If he is found to be fraudulent, I won't charge him more, I'll just have nothing to do with him further and be that much wiser.
To be honest, his "stories" are very funny. He claimed to be military RSO. In the RSO class I asked to explain to the class about a military range with the target trench, the metal scoring discs, and what "Maggie's Drawers" meant.
He looked at me like I ask him to explain String Theory and said he's doesn't know anything about those things.
I took the RSO recertification class about 2 months ago, and I have no clue what you are talking about.... Maybe we just don't use "Drawers" in the light infantry? Asked some of the senior NCO's in my platoon, none of them have any idea what you are talking about either.... So I wouldn't hold it against the guy... Not saying he is legit, just saying that the training standards you are using as references are more than likely either a regional or personal experience, but I will ask around some more, maybe I just slept through that portion of instruction. I have selective narcalepsy...
Edit for clarification: I know what the target trench is, hasn't been done for several decades... metal scoring disks, never heard of them, neither has the 2 11B SFC's & 13B MSG I work with. We aren't national guard... so maybe thats why we've never heard of the stuff you are bringing up, maybe its a guard thing. Definately wouldn't know about that.
Second edit: Ok, I found an Ex Navy guy, maggies drawers is a term used by the Marines... Explains a lot. I asked about 18 senior non coms, finally a navy guy answers.. go figure.
