Rifle mounting in vehicles

I keep a shotgun, unloaded, in the notch in the my rear fold up seat. 12ga. shells in the door pocket. It is hidden from view so hopefully no smash and grab and still readily accessible. Its mostly used for hunting situations, but you never know.
