Just a question, but anyone have any idea as to exactly how many members the site has, and how many people are actually committed to marching. I plan on going to OKC, because financially I can afford it. But I am curious as to how this is actually going to pan out.

Thought from my old demented mind:
It is a little more difficult for the majority of gun owners. Most of us have a job so we can afford the weapons and ammo, thus it is hard to just run a bus up and down the street telling people to get on board for a free trip and free meals. But this should be a major priority for those that are able to work it out. At the current unemployment rate we may have to have buses pick us up off the street and haul us to Washington in 2010. Maybe Ted could get some corporate sponsors for busses to haul people to the capital. Prices may be lower by then due to the reduced number of people ridding them to work...oh, that won't work, the feds still have all their jobs. Next thought anyone?

I could swing going to my State Capitol cause I will move enough stuff over in the pickup to drive that far. Will have to take down the temporary shower I hooked up off the neighbors garden hose but I may not be welcomed in the neighborhoof by then anyway. And I need to move to another McD's cause they quit putting soap in the dispenser for my planned weekly visit. We can overcome...... Yes, I can hear those words today "We shall Overcome, We shall Overcome Lord.

It is not going to be easy but I know of very few things in life that have much value when they come easy. Maybe we need a BARRETT Bus, XD Bus, Glock Bus, AR Bus, Remington Bus,etc. And since Blackwater is looking for a gig maybe they could provide logistics and support.....
Oh

Just the wonderings from an OLD demented mind!!

I posted a similiar message on over in General Discussions, but here is the deal. When I first heard about the March I contacted the Folks at the Tulsa Gun Show,(the one in April) and got permission to distribute Second Amendment March flyers. Is anyone else out there planning to do this?

Have you got this in your scope?
We need to get this to all shooters / members ASAP. Can you forward. Thanks.

Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House.
This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.
To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
•It is registered
•You are fingerprinted
•You supply a current Driver's License
•You supply your Social Security #
•You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
•Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
•There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family - pass this along.

Check it out for yourselves. Then call your senators! The Dem controlled house will pass it this week or early next. The only chance we have to stop this thing is in the senate. I told Rep. Sullivan, Sen Inhofe and Sen Coburn's offices that if passed I will be a criminal. Here are your choices. Stop it, become a criminal or a Sheople!

I would support any action to put a march together in Washington D.C. in 2010 or any other time. The big deal with the HR45 components is in the fine print as outlined in other posts on this forum. The better strategy to avoid the complexities and down right invasive measure set forth in this legislature is to work it from the state level to override the Federal requirement. We as Oklahomans should put support forth for the senators and congressman that post our best interests as gun owners and 2nd Amendment advocates.

I will now step down from my soap box.........Thanks.

they Can'. Put hundreds of milions of Americans in jail they will be to packed and full if we go to jail for 5 years for not locking our weapons up. I personaly leave my weapons were I need them. I dwarves my country and fought for the rights tht we have and I will fight to keep this law away. I think this country o
is going downhill at a crazy rate. One day we will be fighting eachother again and no longer be united. That's what I think and it makes me sad.
