We saw worse than that whe looking for houses! Had one where the basement was a dungeon. Another the exterior was sloughing off and smelled of chemicals at 20 feet away (wanted full market value of a custom home). One gem the floor started sagging as I walked across the room, verified the rain was actually running down the inside of the walls. They had tried to stop us from looking as it was raining. that house looks much nicer than so many we saw which had creative photography and too many lies attached. Did I mention the home which looked good on the outside and the slab was all brok up on the inside?

Don't do any expensive repairs until sheriffs deed is in hand.
Owner can show up and redeem until deed is filed.

I will be watching the progress of the remodel. Personally, I think you should keep the security system on the front door. It's bound to cut down on home invasions.
Are you referring to the 2x4 nailed across the door in one of the pics?
