^^^^^^^Yeah....the wife....

....sure. We've seen a picture of you, and you don't appear to be the "rough and tumble" guy....

....I mean..that shirt!!!!

That shirt is "camouflage". Underneath it is the still well-muscled, hard as woodpecker lips, tougher than a two-dollar steak (although somewhat older now) body of a lean, mean, Force Recon Marine. Okay, okay...I might not be so mean anymore, but I am still pretty darn lean. And older. Yeah, older is right.

I've seen a lot of satellites from my backyard in Piedmont, just lay out in a lawn chair on a dark night, they go by pretty frequently.
It's really a surprise when one goes thru your field of view in binoculars or a telescope. UFO!!:greetings

If I was really wanting to do a stargazing vacation I would hit a cruise ship. They are in port during the day and on the sea's at night. Away form port with a new moon the sky will be only stars. https://www.vacationstogo.com/ is a pretty interesting place to look through stuff as well. just go over to minuteinbox and get a temporary email address to look around.

A quick look shows that there is a 5 night from galveston heading down to Mexico and back for 294 per person with two people going plus whatever fees and such. https://www.vacationstogo.com/fastdeal.cfm?deal=28337 beats the crap out of sitting in a lawn chair letting the mosquitoes eat you alive. With 5 nights and a little planning ahead of time you should have a lot of time to stargaze.
