Read an article that universal background checks passed yesterday. Goes on again about the gun show loophole and internet sales loophole. I know the loophole for gun shows but since when can you buy a gun online and not have to go through an ffl ?
I don't get the notion of gun show "loophole"
in 2012 in okc an off duty officer who was working security at a gunshow suspected one of the guys who bought a firearm shouldnt have it called another leo who pulled over the vehicle he was in. found he was a felon.
in 2014 another guy was arrested for selling firearms and being a felon.
i have no problem doing a background check. they dont prevent me from owning firearms. and if you want to continue to own them then dont commit a crime.
it is cheaper to buy a firearm on arms list then the back alley.

A "loophole" is when you follow the law as it was written, instead of how somebody else wishes it was written.
Rights don't come with permission slips. Would you be okay with a background check to buy a Bible, or to print a newspaper?
So you're fine with the NSA snooping all your data? Random vehicle inspection checkpoints? After all, if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.
I'm wondering if Obama is going to use an Executive Order to close the gun show loophole since the Dems got voted out? He could do that if he wanted to. Just like he threatened to do today with immigration reform. I can see him pulling lots of desperation stuff like that. Be warned! He's coming after your guns!! I can also see him using the EPA to raise taxes on ammunition for enviromental mitigation. You've been warned so get out there and get you some!!!! Load up on those hi-cap magazines too!!
Yes, he will do something I agree. I have a few other ideas of things re: importation of surplus ammo, etc.
