Looking for a decent set of speakers/ subwoofer/ reciever in The north east part of the state. Prefer name brand, and decent quality, but will be in a shop, so doesnt need to be the latest greatest stuff.

If you’re feeling crafty, you’ll never beat the bang for your buck when building your own subwoofers. If it’s in your budget, This kit would be pretty great. I have a pair of these drivers in enclosures I designed and built myself. Paired with their iNuke 6000 watt class D amp they will literally remove things from your walls, test your Sheetrock joints, and remove your ceiling fans.

The parts express site has a lot of good stuff for all budgets. I haven’t tried them, but I have heard that for the price their bookshelf speakers are hard to beat. Probably pretty alright for jamming out in the shop.
If you can find them used, Bose 501s in good condition make good shop speakers, assuming you support them with a subwoofer. That’s what I use. Spent a whole $50 on a pair.

Wish you were closer to OKC. I live in Yukon and I have a 100 watt Yamaha receiver with a remote, a set of Fisher floor speakers with 10" woofers rated at 100 watts, and a set of old Radio Shack Oprimus bookshelf speakers rated at 75 watts I'd sell all for $150 and everything works great.
I have 2 pair of surround set ups one has paradigm reference studio 60 speakers,and center speaker ,m&k sub 12" ,And a 8" pioneer VSX-94txh 7.1 new was with hdmi, the 2nd have paradigm esprit towers with a boston 10"sub depending what u want I have a ton of audio
You might consider checking out estate sales on the 2nd or 3rd day of the sale. I’ve come across some sweet deals. Currently have a Kenwood receiver and turntable with Sansui and Bose speakers I got on 1/2 price day.
