We had a large contingent of troops in the Philippines and pulled them out (Volcano and politics). We also had a contingent in Taiwan and we pulled them out around '73. China has a lot of activity on the old Clark AB also.
Now we are putting troops back into the PI and Taiwan. I'm beginning to think that we'll put them back in Afghanistan one day.
