Dry-firing is the best way to become the best shooter you can. Anything centerfire that can't be dry-fired is either obsolete or garbage. There is absolutely no reason for any manufacturer to have such poor quality engineering that their firearms cannot be dry-fired. This is 2012, not 1953. Modern materials and quality control practices regularly provide for repetitive mechanical actuations in thousands of applications that are more harsh than primer detonation. This is a case of no excuse being acceptable.
