I took my dogs off the side of the front porch straight into a flower bed this morning. Patio, driveway, and sidewalks too slick to step on, much less trying to drive anywhere.

My neighbor is stuck in his driveway.

One time I had to do stuff outside when there was ice? I took a few 1/4 inch hex head zip screws and screwed them into the bottom of my boots. It worked, I didn't slip and fall once.

I have done the exact same thing. Now I use these Ice Trekkers, same as Yaktrax. There's a hundred different brands out there. They should be standard issue for anyone over the age of say 30.

Looks like we got a little ice on elevated surfaces but road in front of house seems ok by the way traffic is moving on it and it is a small incline to get up it.

We have about 1/8" of ice covering everything here in the suburbs of Francis. Won't be making a vet appt this morning to get little Rooster neutered. He's not complaining.
