Can you put s scope on a Henry??

Yes, any of the Henry lever or pump .22's that have the black painted receivers, such as the H001T for example, have the regular .22 type scope rail on top of the receiver, check out http://www.henryrepeating.com/h001t_leveroctagon.cfm. For a Henry Golden Boy lever .22, you would have to order the Henry cantilever scope mount in order to install a scope or drill and tap the receiver as it has no scope groves, check out the following link: http://www.henryrepeating.com/h004_goldenboy.cfm, which looks like it allows scope attachment using the rear sight grove or the barrel rather than messing with the brasslite receiver.

Just picked up a Henry. I have to say that the rifle has a very smooth action, though the trigger has a good amount of creep and is gritty, but it's not heavy. It is definitely a shooter. I was picking off small clay pigeon fragments at the 25yd berm with good regularity offhand. The buckhorn rear site isn't the best iron you can have and my eyes sure don't help matters, but the Henrys are very accurate.

Stay away from Remington Target ammo though. Picked up a couple of boxes at WalFart and the 1st box had six duds in it. Very smokey too compared to Federal. Federal AE22 and 510 both shot great.
