Just wondering if anyone has ever vacuum sealed magazines.

Particularly metal mags.

I'm think about it mainly for rust prevention for long term storage.

Wondering what kind of pre-preparation might be in order.

And along those lines, I keep reading about adding some oxygen absorber material to mylar bags of food and stuff.

Just what exactly is this? where do you get it? and might it be a good idea to add a little to the mag bag?

There was some discussion on another thread about putting weapons in some of the special pouches you can get for long term storage of weapons. You might have to search for it. If I remember right the metal needed to be clean and not oily as the oil seemed to "harden" into some type of difficult to remove coating. Hopefully someone else can be more specific.
