Venison Ribs

What do you guys do with your venison ribs?
Barbecue?
Dog bones?
Critter vittles? (the coons in the yard)

Why or why not?

I always let my dogs nibble on them but this year I hacksawed them in half and put them in the freezer so I could decide what to do with them.

The ribs and all other scrap parts we dont use, I boil them up for my dogs

I strip the meat from in between the ribs and throw it in the grinder.

I toss em. I know, I know, people say its a waste, but I get enough meat from the rest that its not worth it for me to spend another hour getting the little bit of meat out from the ribs.

Same here. If we are at deer camp we'll throw them on the smoker for people to browse on, but if I am at home, coyotes get a rib dinner.

Used to feed 'em to the dogs - till I tried smoking them - holy moly they are good - tastes like very soft deer jerky!

Always wanted to try a rack of venison ribs in the smoker. Might have to try that.

I got w doe a couple of years ago that had a good bit of meat on her ribs. We cooked them and they were great. If you get one with a fair bit of meat save them.
