The bottom level is usually the old stuff I know but its just getting to where any Remington 700 or Ruger Blackhawk you look at has some special story. Like" the "1 of 100" or "very rare" or this was Bill Ruger's personal carry gun or whatever. I'm used to that at these rinky dink shows here in the city but at Tulsa seemed like stuff moved at fair prices, you know you could always seem to find a deal if you looked.

Millennials are not "kids." Millennials are today's age group from 22 to 37 and you could not be more mistaken. That age group is a major driving force in today's marketplace. And as a demographic, they're not into guns. Sales figures don't lie.

So there's no specific defined age to millennials but the age ranges from early 80s to born in the early 2000s. That's 15 to 35ish so I'll stand by my point. Sure they spend money in today's marketplace but that's not what I said. I said "kids" never really drove gunshow sales or numbers. You can get into semantics of what ages are what but what I said stands true, the last generation to get excited and see gunshots in their heyday was mine or "late Gen x?" Because they've been steadily going down hill. In terms of not being into guns I'm going to have to leave you with that opinion, I see too many FB usergroups and forums full of young to old. Just curious if you have any data to relay though? I couldn't find anything other than this...

the-demographics-of-gun-ownership

Given that "study" I was actually surprised that the numbers weren't far off the older generations.

And you haven't "seen" more than a very small representation of music shows. Again, you're mistaken. As a national phenomenon, that age group is dominantly listening to a single dj with his own cache of digitized music. They get to hear a wider variety of favored songs and they like it that way. And musicians are profoundly aware of it.

I'm not sure why you believe you know what I've seen lol. Either way, I'm not mistaken at all, especially when it comes to the festivals I just named. They're huge now and I've watched them grow and I've never seen a DJ headliner except for Deadmau5 more than a few years ago. Locally in Tulsa, yeah.....reality shows a quite a contrast from your opinion. The Brady, Cain's, BOK, and Casinos, ain't booking DJs night after night. Hell you only have one club that plays EDM and it's a gay club. Either way, there's more live music locally here than there's ever been and that's not even up for argument. Finally, I'm not sure why older generations think EDM is a "new" thing when it's been around since the early 90s but oh well.

The motorcycle thing is all you, like I said, I'm ignorant like I said on that. However, the car scene is still strong.

But I get it, it's more of the cliche "kids today" speech I heard long ago.

It was nice when Lone wolf distributors would bring their really nice trailer and have most any glock parts you would need.Haven't seen them in the last 2 or 3 years. There is also a guy on the top level that has a big banner that has clips on it.His best price on a factory G17 mag was $24.00.This is still a really good show and there is stuff you won't find anywhere else but I can buy G17 mags for under $20.00 at several places.

These distributors and parts makers quit coming because of the the whoring out from the internet. Glock mags for under $20? That means someone lost their ass or had it handed to them. Gun shows will die because we think we are entitled to free sh@+.

I went Sunday and some guy at magazine table was a complete jerk. I was looking for COLT 1911 mags with extended base pads because they work better with my extended magazine well. I told guy what I was looking for and he starts handing me regular, flat bottom, 8-round mags. I told him those wont work for me. He then proceeds to tell they will fit just fine, he's been in the business for 56 years and that I'm wasting his time. I told him again that I know the magazines will fit, but its difficult to slap the bottom of a flat mag into a 1911 with a extended mag well and that's why I prefer the mags with extended base pads. He just walked away ...

But I did manage to eat at Fat Guys Burgers in Tulsa! It was awesome!

Yeah, Fat Guy's is the best new age burger joint around. Next time you're here you should try Claudes, its an old school burger joint like what was popular in the 60's and 70's. Simple menu, good folks running it and really low prices.

Just buy 1911 mags with screw holes in the bottom and put pads on them. They're cheap (the pads) and I think that I have several of them around here somewhere. I prefer the bumpers on 1911 mags too.
