I'm off the hook. My wife told my niece she would give her her present 1 week before graduation. Said if she elopes, she ain't getting a wedding present. And if she "plans" her wedding, she better get an invitation 3 months before the wedding or we won't go.

Anybody in my family or friends wants some money to pay something, I make them take me to the place and I'll pay it personally so I know that it goes where they said it would.

Yep I'm usually really cool with nieces n nephews. I try to help them out. But I'm thinking this niece played games and involving me. If it was just me, I think I'd tell her no now. My wife says different and I ain't in nobody's doghouse soo....
