What's the difference now?

Joined in 2009, by 2012 I had like 6600 posts. Now I just happened to look and it no longer says posts, it says messages and I've got about 5500.
So post count is no longer a thing but complete messages are ??

There was a software incident around 2012 or somewhere around there. A lot of the old timers lost post numbers.
