My ex wife gave me a ring like that when we got married.I traded it for a case of Crown, an Ithaca 12 and a beagle. The beagle wasn't worth nothing. He would tree squirells at night and racoons during the day. He was almost as stupid as my ex wife.

Unless the gold has sentimental value, never use your gold to make jewelry use theirs. You will come out ahead, they will only credit you about $5-$7 a gram for your gold when you can scrape it for $25 a gram.

Thanks guys, With what I saw prices of used 1/4 karat solitares going for close to $200 and $220 worth of gold that is close to $1200 am I missing something? I think $500 would be a good price for both parties. Any takers?
