any ya'll got any cool/interesting channels you're following on Youtube?

Paul Harrell - Gun tuber, former USMC marksmanship instructor

https://www.youtube.com/@PaulHarrell
He's does quite extensive reviews on firearms and survivalism...demonstrating the practical performance of ammunition and firearms...

9-hole Reviews

https://www.youtube.com/@9HoleReviews/videos
they do quite a bit of 'practical accuracy' videos of various firearms...i mostly enjoy the sexy antique firearm shooting...

Forgotten Weapons

https://www.youtube.com/@ForgottenWeapons
Ian is the proprieter of this channel and often does historical overviews of classical firearms and has quite a few shooting videos.

thought if i started a thread here i might find some new channels to follow... I noticed that i often come across channels with very few viewers to begin with(such as Paul Harrell) who subsequently over time balloon up into bigger names.

here's a recent one i found...

https://www.youtube.com/@PerunAU
he's an Australian bloke who often does grand strategy numbers crunching on modern wars....even counting T-72s in open-air Russian storage to gauge Russian losses in the Ukraine war...fascinating stuff..

i'm into the history-esque stuff too...

https://www.youtube.com/@MontemayorChannel
https://www.youtube.com/@TheOperationsRoom
those are some good ones...

any of ya'll got any good channels you follow? particularly less than <1M subscribers...

The one I follow most closely is Just a Few Acres Farm
https://www.youtube.com/@JustaFewAcresFarmPete has done lots of videos about raising livestock and selling their products to support a small farm, including plenty of videos on the business aspects of it, but he's also done a bunch of videos on tractors and implements. His latest video (released today) was reassembling and reinstalling the belly pump on a Farmall H, and he rebuilt one of his Farmalls over last winter. He's also planning on doing more working on/restoring tractor videos in the future.

I follow the Knife Center
https://www.youtube.com/@knifecenter
and Smoky Mountain Knife Works
https://www.youtube.com/@SMKWcom
to keep up on what's happening in the bladed world. I watch more of DCA at the Knife Center, which is ironic, as I've never actually bought a knife from them (they've either been out of stock or priced too high).

I also follow the Lockpicking Lawyer
https://www.youtube.com/@lockpickinglawyeralthough his videos have been more sparse since he opened Covert Instruments.

There's also Drybar Comedy for good, clean fun
https://www.youtube.com/@DryBarComedy
The Fat Electrician for military history told with a lot of inappropriate humor
https://www.youtube.com/@the_fat_electrician

I assume everybody has heard of these first three, but you never know.

Micah Mayfield. He’s Garand Thumb’s videographer, and a pretty entertaining guy to watch. His videos remind me of having that friend who goes with you to BLM land to plunk whatever trash you have in the back of your truck, and always has cool new toys. Good videography, fun videos.

Garand thumb. I assume everybody has heard of him. But maybe not. Was an air force sere instructor and did time as a tacp, but he doesn’t really talk about it. I’ve heard conflicting comments about his time in, but it doesn’t really matter. He has training, and occasionally shares knowledge from his training. He has a wide variety of videos, from gun reviews, to talking about gear, to survival/evasion videos. He’s kinda like the top gear of the YouTube gun world: very entertaining, moderately credible, with the occasional nugget of knowledge and wisdom. I highly suggest his “becoming deadly in the mountains/woods/etc”. He shares some good stuff.

Administrative results kinda follows the same vein as the previous two, but I don’t feel like his stuff is as entertaining. Still has some good stuff.

Rob is great. Cheerful dude, served in polish (I think) military, before moving to the states and enlisting in the US Army. I’ve heard he’s a ranger, I’ve heard he’s not. He says he’s a sniper/marksman instructor. I don’t really care. He’s talented and says it like it is. He’s kind of a no BS guy with some good videos, and I enjoy them.

I’m honestly not a huge fan of these guys, they do share a lot of crappy information and poor viewpoints I feel. But some of it is alright. I enjoyed the homesteading video where the guy goes over milking the goats, and then does it with his NVGs on. They try to be informative, but with the crappy info it’s mostly just a place for entertainment and some different viewpoints in my opinion.

This guy breaks the rules, with over a million followers, but I feel like he deserves a mention. He typically takes stuff apart, and talks about the plastics, electronics, and metals used in the parts, etc. dude knows more about a drill than I know about every power tool I own. Some silly Canadian too, I think he’s a toolmaker or boilermaker. Good stuff.

I'm a you tubber that is opportunistic. Since we travel alot, I'm always delving into what's happening at a certain location. What shooting and fishing opportunities are available and what are they using?
I like the Fat Electrician, Sam the Cooking Guy, Cowboy Kent Rollings from Ok. for regulars.
Currently watching tons of Saltwater Bama, and Bama Beach Bum video's to find out how to surf fish along the Alabama gulf shores.

Steve Lehto, Lehtos Law channel on youtube.

Matts Off Road Recovery, used to be amazing, his old and original crew has left, his newest stuff is not exactly what I like, but if you like fabricating, you'll like his latest stuff.

Lehto is really good. Nate the Lawyer is also good for getting a rational legal perspective on things in the news.

The Armed Attorneys are good for legal explanations of 2A-related issues, particularly those making their way through the courts.
