Classical liberalism is the official terminology. By the correct definition then yes, I am a classical liberal but no one has a damn clue what that is anymore.
Most of OSA is liberal. They just let ego get in their way. Most can't or won't admit to the hypocrisy of their own politics.
I'll tell you this, judging just by the number of votes for Jim Inhofe, Oklahoma loves paying career politicians who do nothing but pork it up, add to the Natl debt and spew religious nonsense on the Senate floor. They guy has not produced or written one piece of legitimate legislation in 20 years. The guy is an embarrassment to Oklahoma but we send him back every time.

Exactly. The modern liberal is more a cross between a socialist and a capitalist, with just a little bit of communist thrown in. Really there is not a whole lot of difference in the goal of Republicans and Dims. The big difference is how they plan to go about it.
As I have said before, libertarians are more like Blue Dog Democrats. They still want the personal freedoms but do not believe in a large government or strong defense.
