...cause I might just find it. As mentioned in another thread, I work in the recycling dept at the IP paper mill in Valliant. You would not believe what folks and businesses throw away. Bales break open when handled and stuff falls out on the floor. We find cancelled checks, mail with addresses, checking statements etc all the time. It is an ID thief's personal heaven. And rarely some good stuff, like diamond rings, high dollar watches etc. All the metal stuffed into the bales falls into a heavy junk trap. I once found the barrel and upper receiver on an AK-47. I took it to the local police so they could call ATF. If was reported as stolen at least it could be pulled out of the records. ATF told officer the gun was not in the US. Officer told ATF, yes, it is, it's in my lap. ATF told officer to put it in evidence room till further notice. I reckon it's still there.
So anyway, in this day of ID theft, shred all documents with your personal information on them before trashing. I empty my shredder into the kitty litter pan. Hopefully, no one would want to dig through cat crap and pee to piece the shreds back together.

And as a final note, if any of you had a mammogram at a women's clinic in Overland Park, KS, back in the late 90's, well, guess what I saw!:clap3: I didn't realize those things came in so many shapes and sizes.:rolleyes2

Almost forgot. Back in the early 90's the IRS in Austin, TX was caught throwing away tax forms, instead of processing them. A few years later we received a couple of 1500 pound bales of tax forms.

Nothing goes in my trash that has my address or name on it. Everything gets shreded.

If the Sheriff's office finds an illegal trash dump on the side of the road, the first thing they do is look for addresses. If they find one, it gets the cleanup cost.

So... are you dumping your trash on the side of the road??
