I'm going to go waaaaaaaaaaaaay out on a limb and guess that, as a TPD officer, if he had information that wasn't in the TPD press release he wouldn't post it on an Internet forum.

And just to clear something up, I am not second guessing anything TPD has done in this case. Just curious why he covered so much ground without having a hostage.

If he knew anything about it,he would be unable to comment.It is an open homicide investigation and there is no use in trying to analyze the dynamics if you weren't there.Move on.

The guy was an EE masters student at TU from china. He had a passenger in his car that wasn't killed. Got the university email about an hour ago explaining the situation.

I'm glad the scumbag is dead. One less gang-banging tweeker on the streets. It's tragic he had to take an innocent bystander with him. Prayers and condolences to the victim's family and friends.
