Grieve? You grieve when a life is lost, not when a job is lost.

grieve 1 (ɡriːv)
- vb
1. to feel or cause to feel great sorrow or distress

I'd say being laid off qualifies. I have personally had to lay off people and I've also been laid off in the past. Neither was fun. It's no joke and nothing to take lightly. Some people handle it better than others.

Sad many businesses will be ruined or hurt by this.
Doesnt matter Where you put the blame or on Who
The fact that these companys are shipping jobs overseas, I say fakem all
and I will.take my business somewhere else
Hope this doesnt affect too many business's up there ....but Im bettin it will
Good Luck to you

Unfortuneately, most all heavy a/c maint. is or will be done overseas. All the domestic carriers are outsourcing work. Look at how much manufacturing has been lost in this country. We are getting screwed.

Go back and read post # 65. BTW, my wife got laid off from the same place at the same time. Together we lost about $150K in annual pay. There was no grieving. No one was dead, just unemployed for a short time.

First of all, my condolences to those of you who have lost, or have the possibility of losing, your jobs. I am also sorry for the obvious lack of empathy some of these folks, who are graceless bozos.

Some of you people are just delusional. You really are. You bash unions, yet say little or nothing about corporate greed. You make flip remarks about workers' wages, when often times unabashed corporate greed is the problem.

A lot of you get on here and ***** about "sheeple." Sheeple this and sheeple that. Here's a news flash. YOU are the sheeple. You have imbibed the kool-aid of Big Business and Big Insurance. You have bought the pack lies they have sold and believe it like the Gospel.

You are against higher taxes for the wealthy and entitlements. Mainly, because you believe some how, some way, some day, you will become wealthy. Guess what? Chances are it's not going to happen for you. It's just not. And that is OK. There is a Hell of a lot more to life than money. I pay more in taxes every quarter than most people make in a year, and you know, if I had to pay a little more in taxes, I wouldn't mind. Particularly, if it meant my community would be improved.

You support people who limit your access to justice in the name of tort reform because you buy the BS of "McDonald's hot coffee" myths, and because you really, honestly believe bad things only happen to the "other guy." Here's another news flash....YOU ARE the other guy. Don't believe me? Look at what has happened to some of our members here.

So, hold on tight to your delusions, the rest of us know you for what you are.

first let me say I wish the best to all the AA employees affected and that I sure hope the employees that do get to keep their job would try to get less of THEIR PAYtaken from them by the union.Back in the 80s I was in the carpenters union and I saw first hand how much of OUR MONEYthey wasted and it was very sickening.

I'm so sick of people like Warren Buffett, Ben Stein, and now obviously you making this statement. No one is stopping you from getting out your check book. Right next to where it says Pay To The Order Of, just write IRS or Oklahoma Tax Comission and then in the box where you put the numbers, put a big one in there. Then sign the check, put it in an envelope and mail it in. Please tell me what is stopping you.

Well, bucko, I actually do donate quite a bit to charities and churches. Your resentfulness demonstrated in your post is a little puzzling.
