The real key is convincing people who were pro-Obama last time to vote for someone other than Obama. The person I'm seeing is\was a flaming libtard\oh-my-gawd-Obama-is-the-best-thing-since-sliced-bread voter last time. This time, she's at least looking at other options. She doesn't like Romney, meh on Gingrich, and anyone who bad-mouths gays is toast in her book so Santorum is out. So she'd either vote for Paul or Obama. There's going to be a lot of people in the similar boat.

Besides the social politics of Santorum I could never vote for him because he's chompin at the bit to start another mideast war.
Give him 1 yr in the WH and we would be bogged down in both Syria and Iran. Deja Vu anyone?
He sounded like he would like to invade Cuba too the other night. Of course that was when he was campaigning in Florida.

I can't stand to vote for anyone running this year so I guess I won't vote again.
Of course it wouldn't make any difference even if I did.

I could never vote for Obama. They all suck, but I don't want Obama appointing anymore Supreme court justices, and I think he will reinstate the AWB.

If it is a choice between Romney and Obama, Obama is the better option. Obama and Romney are interchangeable (See Romneycare/Obamacare). Repubs have a good chance to control the Congress and if Romney were to win, the GOP congress would pass the same laws that Obama would propose because Romney is "their" guy. If Obama were re-elected, there would be gridlock because of the GOP congress. The american people win when there is gridlock.

Santorum is a no go because of the "holy roller" image and his hard on to start another war. Most of my family is an Obama out at all costs position and I am trying to bring them around to a little more pragmatic view of things. Romney is a worse option than Obama.

Most conservative's problem with Paul lies in his foreign policy. My argument to them is that if we don't take care of the home front, we won't have a country to defend. If Paul's foreign policy is a blunder, we can recover from that but the collapse of our economy has much greater ramifications.

Keep the house and gain the senate and another AWB won't happen. The political climate around the 2a is much different now than in 1994.

I'm not a fan of the record amount and level of regulation and restrictions and spending that the current administration has gutted American business with over the last 3 years. We will barely survive 1 more year of it, let alone another 4. Not to mention the Supreme Court positions that could be determined by whomever wins this election. I will not support re-election for Obama no matter whom the R cantidate is. For everyone who argues that they are all the same, then why wouldn't you vote out the one who has screwed the pooch and saddled you and your children and your grandchildren with trillions of $ in debt and pushed for policies that destroy our freedom. He has spent more in 3 years than the first 41 presidents COMBINED and more than Bush did in 8 years already too! Oh and Ps. a "lame duck" is what Obama would be if he didn't get re-elected and had less power as a resulting factor, NOT to describe someone who just just got re-elected and has 4 four more years of power. Seriously people, wake up.
