Is there such a thing as an "Average Middle Class family" in this country anymore?

This is the question that vexes me so. Many years ago I wrote checks every week to my "employee units." One day all the little people came in thinking their taxes were too high. "The presnit cut all the taxes, it's on tv."
I had to explain that they weren't paying more taxes, they were paying FICA deductions, which really weren't taxes at all.

And lets face it, they weren't paying any more, money was just being borrowed from their checks and going into the Social Security Trust Fund.
It was a good thing really.

It was years later they figgered out Reagan was using that money to buy the transluscent goo he put on his hair to reflect light.
...by then, I was long gone.

I wish i knew alot of you personally. Thinking Romney is gonna win is a laugh. If yall were gamblers id never have to pay gunshow admissions again.

Obama is YOUR Prez, citizen or not. You guys need to stay focused on real issues, not whether Obama is a citizen, graduated college or has a draft card.

Romney wont show returns because he prolly wont win and then his competitors will know his assets and true worth. In short he could lose a business edge, since he may not become president.

From an old thread about AA. When I asked him about how much extra in taxes he voluntarily sent in, well you can guess what the answer was.

First of all, my condolences to those of you who have lost, or have the possibility of losing, your jobs. I am also sorry for the obvious lack of empathy some of these folks, who are graceless bozos.

Some of you people are just delusional. You really are. You bash unions, yet say little or nothing about corporate greed. You make flip remarks about workers' wages, when often times unabashed corporate greed is the problem.

A lot of you get on here and ***** about "sheeple." Sheeple this and sheeple that. Here's a news flash. YOU are the sheeple. You have imbibed the kool-aid of Big Business and Big Insurance. You have bought the pack lies they have sold and believe it like the Gospel.

You are against higher taxes for the wealthy and entitlements. Mainly, because you believe some how, some way, some day, you will become wealthy. Guess what? Chances are it's not going to happen for you. It's just not. And that is OK. There is a Hell of a lot more to life than money. I pay more in taxes every quarter than most people make in a year, and you know, if I had to pay a little more in taxes, I wouldn't mind. Particularly, if it meant my community would be improved.

You support people who limit your access to justice in the name of tort reform because you buy the BS of "McDonald's hot coffee" myths, and because you really, honestly believe bad things only happen to the "other guy." Here's another news flash....YOU ARE the other guy. Don't believe me? Look at what has happened to some of our members here.

So, hold on tight to your delusions, the rest of us know you for what you are.

As for Romney, if he broke the law, he should face whatever penalty is due...I doubt this milk-toast ever did much law breaking though. Romney has also been accused by the left of causing cancer deths, felonies, hating old people, hating dogs etc...It is the left sir, that has the double-standard here

That so called "birth certificate" is a clumsy forgery and has been debunked many times. He has a social security number belonging to a dead man. 0bama is the perfect Manchurian Candidate and was sent here to accomplish three objectives:
1.)Destroy Israel, 2.)Facilitate the establishment of a Middle East Caliphate and 3.)Bankrupt America. He is right on schedule. Liberalism is truly a mental disorder. Now wouldn't a nice, upstanding Marxist such as yourself be more comfortable living in Cuba or North Korea?
