I'm a little messy sometimes. I always keep my house to where it can be straightened up fairly quickly, and while it may be messy or dusty it's never gross. Kitchens and bathrooms are not science experiments at no point does my house smell like grim death.

Some recent experiences at a friend's home and at real estate showings has reminded me how gross a lot of people are. When I was a kid I worked a job that had me in people's homes and know how bad most people seem to live, but I guess I'd forgotten. These recent experiences and a few conversations with people who are in strange houses every day reminded me.

Time to fess up. We won't know who you are, so vote honestly. I'd say OSA demographics/personalities means we'd have few filthy people, but I've seen them from all walks of like. I know people with six-figure incomes and insanely expensive homes that live in squalor. The rub is, if you're anything like my gross friends/family members, you don't think or don't know you're gross. So the poll may be skewed.

Married college kid. I like clutter and disorganization, but cannot stand mud, food trash, or anything nasty in an a living space.

I can deal with a messy room or disorganized desk, but cannot stand it when plates or dishes with food on them are left out....UGH!

I'm kinda of in the process of selling everything I own and not giving two flips about anything in the house so mine is admittedly worse than it's ever been.

Bad part about it is that I'm normally a neat freak, super clean kind of guy but the ex has successfully sucked the life out of me over the last two years. I look forward to moving on, moving out and moving into somewhere brand new where I don't have to face the years of neglect that she created. After selling off most of the furniture, I'm discovering that she never dusted once in the 8 years we lived here... or much of any other cleaning either. The wide open space between the walls somehow seems to make it all worse too...

So ya... mines a wreck.

I could have been in the first category, even with the wife and my first born. But the second child sucked that energy out of me. If I weren't constantly cleaning up behind them, it'd be a disaster. My wife is NOT a clean person, so I get no real help on this front.
