How much does your wife spend?

Mrs GED and I had a conversation this morning.

She thinks she spends too much on makeup. She sells Mary Kay, so she gets a bit of a discount. In the process of buying for herself, there are a few other women she orders for but sells it to them at her cost.

Yeah, she's that kinda gal.

Anyway, her cosmetics bill every 4 or 5 months is about $200 - $250, give or take.

She thinks this is too much.

I told her that most women spend that EVERY month. She says no. I told her, "okay...maybe not two bills on makeup alone, but if you consider makeup as well as nails, hair, clothes, shoes and tanning, then yeah, their monthly maintenance bill is probably well over the $200 mark."

Mrs GED does not buy clothes, or shoes, or jewlery. Hell, she's like taking a 5 year old kid or an 80 year old man shopping. She does not get her hair or nails done and she visits the beauty parlor maybe every 3 months. Her Mary Kay is her only "splurge" and like I said, she only needs to reorder it about two or three times a year!

I am definitely the high maintenace bee-yotch of our household.

So what say you guys (and gals) of OSA? How much is your wife's/GF's (or yours BB and Maggie ) monthly maintenace bill?

My wife spends roughly $35 to 40 per month on all hers. She's not into spending hours every day doing her makeup. She only uses eyeliner and foundation I think. Takes her just as long to do her makeup as it does for me to shave. She does her hair about every 4 months. Mines low maintenance and low drag. Makes me happy!

I'm lucky, my wife gets her make up from Walmart and gets a haircut every couple months from the beauty academy for like $17

My ex wife used to spend every dime I brought through the door on beads and trinkets.

Well, my sugar mama makes a lot of money so she tends to spend a lot of money. She is in upper management and does require nice suits, makeup, hair stylists, etc. She's probably close to $500/month which isn't bad considering her income.

I have know ideal how much my wife spends. And I don't worrie to much about it. It's what ever makes her happy. Besides she make more than I so. And she keeps track of all bills and how much we have. And if I find something I want or think I need I get it if its with in reason. About the only thing I'm buying now is ammo at Walmart.

Ehhhh ... it kinda depends. I ALWAYS use mosturizer and sunscreen (wish I'd started doing that in my 20s ) but no makeup unless I'm leaving the house in daylight. (BTW, Oklahomabassin it was good to see you last night!! Thanks again for the pallets! )

I used to get my nails done (fingers and toes) every month and a facial and wax, same day GC when for his haircut, but that was back when I worked and it was important to look a certain way.

Now, I'd say the biggest portion of my "maintenance bill" every month goes to accupressure treatments. Believe me they do change the way I look. It is amazing how old chronic pain can make you feel and look. Oh, and my hairdresser and I get together and chitty-chat every 8 weeks while she touches up the gray ...

So ... let's see ... I'd say now I spend about $40-50 average a month. Before, when I worked all the time, I easily spent 3 to 4 times that. Oh ... and I forgot, that boob job ... Some folks would see that as cosmetic ... If you add that in, I'm guessing that would bump up my bill a 20 dollar bill a month for a year ... I can't remember the last time I bought a bottle of foundation or some eyelashes ... hmmmmm ... what I have now lasts me a LONG, LONG time ...
