Can you work on a land rover discovery II ?

if i can get parts for it, i can fix it. not sure why people make such a fuss over imports. They are no different than everything else. they just have a different way of doing the same thing.

i also dont charge a higher rate for imports like the "import" shops do.

i have a customer with a land rover freelander.

the problem with land rover is my scanner can only pull engine codes. if there is a problem with any of the subsystems (abs,airbag,etc..) i cannot get codes. i dont have enough rover customers to justify spending several grand on one. you could go to dealer and just get codes and i can figure it out then.

Just a quick shout out for Hilario and the work he does. He did some pretty extensive motor work for us. He kept me informed all along the way and even went out of his way to get it back to me when Oklahomabassin' screwed up my whole day with a pig hunt. :wink2:

Best part ... Ok ... Best two parts. Price was vey reasonable AND I got a hug from a really handsome young man at the end of the deal. I ask you, much better can a old lady have it?!!?! :anyone:

Im in Tulsa but I put you in my cell for when Im in the OKC area. Im there here and there buying and selling used vehicles. Its a hobby. I have a pal here who does work for me here that I cant do or have the equipment to do on my cars and 4x4s and he just went from his garage to a one man shop and is finally starting to get a good following. Good luck with going it on your own though you sound like you have a plan you just need the work coming in. Watch out, now that the word is out here you might get too much work in now, lollll.

I'm sending you a PM on my '03 Suburban.

Our's was a 99 Suburban (I think, I'm so bad with the years, but I know it's a Suburban). He did a really good job on it. Purrs like a kitten. I'm a happy, happy camper ... And so are my dogs -- they have room to stretch out now ... LOL

He obviously knew what he was doing because, seriously, it runs better than it ever has in the however many (several) years we have had it. :)
