I won't be going there.

It has nothing to do with whether I can or can't carry a gun there. I won't put my money into a state that makes such asinine anti-gun laws.

That's pretty much my stance on it as well. I've spent a bunch of time in Colorado over the years and feel like I've "been there, done that". Besides, I feel like if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.

Colorado has always been one of my favorite states and I have been going there since the mid 1950's. However, just like I go out of my way to avoid Illinois, I shall do the same for Colorado. The California elites have ruined the state.

We had planned to go there on vacation this year, but I think I will check out Wyoming and Idaho. We have been contemplating doing so for several years and this is just the incentive to do so.

If enough folks think this way and the state begins to lose tourist dollars, maybe the pols will figure it out. Not likely, but maybe.

i graduated from high school in colorado springs, a big piece of my heart belongs to colorado. I was planning on visiting this summer with my kids. I will probably still go. I don't expect these laws to stay around for long.

We usually go once or twice a year to either Durango or Estes Park. Probably will only go back if I draw any hunting tags, I've got to many preference points built up to just throw it away. Or to buy another early Ford Bronco, CO is full of them.

I'll still be going there, I usually carry a snubby anyways.

However, I go there to take money from industry there and provide jobs to people in Oklahoma.

The only places I feel outgunned with a snubby are IL, CA, DC, etc. I'll still carry a doublestack when visiting those dumps.

What if....

We didn't blanket boycott the whole state, just the liberal cities, counties, and businesses? Let's face it mass boycotts designed to hurt governments are not always effective (Cuba anyone) and only end up indiscriminately hurting the citizens. So I propose that you take your Colorado vacation in a county that voted Red. You arrange to do business only with people who think and vote like we do. It will mean asking people where they stand...and it will hurt them a whole lot more when you tell someone that you won't do business with them because of their support for the Colorado gun bills. Hurt the pocket books of the people who voted for this fiasco, not the people who value freedom like we do.

It might keep some good people in business and in state long enough to fight this thing off from the inside....and there are still a lot of good people in Colorado.

won't even slow down a Colorado visit. be smart and mind your business while visiting. Seriously someone is not visiting the amazing state of Colorado because of their gun laws? just wow. Jeezus, it wasn't that long ago that wonder 9's and the like where not everyday weaponry.

Any of you all remember those snubbys that many thought they couldn't live without. Those work in Colorado also, If you are worried about a hi-cap mag ban.

Some of us hold more than a mere token belief in the Second Amendment.

What 264 said. I lived in CO for over 6 years as a kid. I still know a number of people there. I won't be going back if the law goes into effect, and for as long as it stays on the books.
