I couldn't take it because I expected them to tank.
About halfway thru the 3rd qtr I thought it was happening.
I went to bed.
Woke up around 4:00 a.m. and checked the espn app on my phone.
I was able to go right back to sleep and finish the night.

I went to bed before the game started,was sicker than I have been in awhile. Thought it was food poisoning or stomach flu.


I recorded it and watched it today. Awesome win for the Soooners.

What happened was, IMO, it was a squib kick down the center of the field (onside kicks are almost always kicked at an angle) to prevent a runback. The 'Bama player forgot to get out of the way, then didn't know what to do when it did accidently hit him. Our guy jumps on the ball.

Agreed about it not being an intentional onside kick, but I think Coach Johnson's assessment of it on the radio call was spot-on--being on the 10, he was simply trying to drive the ball but swung too hard and mis-hit it. Either way, it worked out well.

I will say that once again.... the OSU fan base under the guise of being "classy" had an absolute meltdown on FB last night. That's just delicious.

As a diehard OSU fan, I watched the game last night at Stillwater Regional Airport with the University of Texas women's basketball flight crew. We were all rooting for OU.

I don't personally know any Big 12 fan who isn't sick to death of the SEC nuthugging by the BCS Cognoscenti. That's the main reason I was so upset when OSU didn't get a chance at LSU in 2012. The human polls subjectively gave the nod to Alabama for the title game because the SEC is SO much better than any other conference. That was BS. We never got an opportunity to see what a top ranked Big 12 team would do against a top ranked SEC team when all the marbles were on the table.

So if OU beats a much more widely regarded Alabama, who was favored by 15 points, I say BRAVO ZULU!
