My wife and I have been on a strict diet the last 30 days or so. No beef (really sucks), sugar, processed food, fruits, and breads. I can have very little carbs and grains. I have been eating chicken, eggs, turkey, fish, and all the vegetables I can eat.

Look into Keto and intermittent fasting. Add in a reasonable calorie deficit and you'll drop fat quick.

I am still slowly but surely losing too. Part of the problem is that I enjoy cooking and trying to make healthy recipes. We tried my modification to a meat lovers Polish cabbage roll casserole tonight and it came out very good. Low fat, low carb and high fiber.

OK to use if you make lifestyle and diet changes after you do this. I see so many people that do these things, drop weight, then put it all(and more) back on.

The best approach is to make sensible changes to your eating that you can sustain, and lose weight at a rate that will help you keep it off. Many times if it comes off drastically, it goes back on drastically.

So true. I have tried most of the diets through the years and yoyoed up and down. Since I started trying to make healthy recipes that taste good and slowly building my exercise program the weight is coming off slow but steady. My blood sugar levels are doing better too. Enough so that my doc stopped talking about putting me on insulin since oral drugs were not working. I still have to watch it since I am one of those that drugs do not work like they are supposed to but I am making progress.

Excellent! Grab two ten pound weights and think THAT IS WHAT YOU LOST!!!! Again, excellent job!

One of the things that I suggest for people to do to start a weight loss program is to cut out anything “white” as in breads, rice, and potatoes (white women are fine in moderation). Limit your carb intake to 50 per meal and walk about 10 to 15 minutes every day. If you have to snack, time the snack to be within two hours of each meal and manage the carb count to be under 30. A good snack is an apple. Good energy food and good fiber. Important to keep a regular source of fiber in your diet. This will go a long way to prevent serious issues with your heart, diabetes and chronic liberalism. As well, it is very important to drink plenty of water.

Once you can get that first chunk off you will have more energy and with that you can use that energy to attack the program harder. I would suggest cutting back on red meats but you have already done that. If you were to increase your exercise regimen you will see the weigh fly off.

Great job! Set your sights and attack it.

No exercise, I just can't motived to go workout.
Try starting with just a walk around the neighborhood or so, and try working in some jogging as you feel like it.

You don't have to start with 5+ miles a day, just something to get you moving. I suggest going in the mornings before work because life tends to get in the way trying to go out after work.
