Tell me what would be the difference had I gotten it fixed the first time? They would have still paid me twice. I haven't had a vehicle claim in 20 years before this hail, I pretty much feel I was getting my own money back. I didnt lie to them and tell them I had it fixed the first time either.

A shitass lying cheating company with $200+ billion dollars in assets would have been treated better than they treat their customers/victims of their insured's bad habits.

I'd forgotten my hatred since my only dealings with them in the last 10 years were seeing my premiums be drafted from my checking account every month.

Insurance companies are super if you never have to deal with them.

To expidite the process, you can file a small claims suit against the driver for the difference. This should get the ball rolling, because they will contact the insurance and demand them settle this claim. The only obligation the insurance company has is their fiduciary repsponsiblity to the policy holder, unlike some of the comments on here, the insurance company has NO obligation to you.
That's pretty much all around poor advice.

From the guy that works/worked for an insurance company?
Personally, I don't play the insurance game. If they want to play games, they can do it in the legal environment that evens the field.
In one case, I had to go through a jury trial to recover my damages.

Called me back, still not budging. We are having a conference call tomorrow with the guy who gave me my estimate. Who oddly enough is a friend of the SF estimator and the SF estimator told me he has known him for years and he knows his stuff. Just not in this case, huh?

I talked to a friend who's dad had the same thing happen with state farm after a rear end collison. He got his lawyer involved and they were a little more willing to work with him after that.
Pricks.
