Teen girl safety

Cousin of mine has been approached by older males while pumping gas twice in the past month. Obviously she can't carry a firearm, but what are some other alternatives that won't get her in trouble at school? Thanks in advance for the responses.

I will leave the Legal Advice to the Lawyers and Peace Officers here on OSA. My opinion is strong on this as I too have a daughter that has been approached numerous times while getting gas or even at Sonic by older males. I am watching with interest.

they weren't threatening her, were they?

pretty much anything that could be construed as a weapon would get her suspended nowadays. whether it's a pocket knife or pepper spray. Or a drawing that kinda looks like it might be a gun.

She needs to be assertive and hostile as hell. Tell the guy LOUDLY to back off. She needs to be crazy as a bag of frogs. I have a niece whos in her sophomore year in college. She's 5 ft.-nothing, skinny as a rail but she once had a bum RUNNING from her when he pressed the issue of being denied some money.
