I had a buck 20 yards from me but never cleared the trees while you were typing that message I think. Couldn't see antlers/head, but body size was really nice and clearly a buck

I flung an arrow at a coyote way paste the time I would have felt comfortable shooting at a deer, but as I could barely see it, I missed.

Lots of doe/fawns and smaller bucks moving about this evening. Dead still calm this evening too, pretty rare for here.

Got up this morning and went through my normal routine. Never really looked at the clock and jumped in my truck. Took off on my 45 minute drive. Wonder d why the gas station wasn't busy with the normal amount of hunters. Realized I was an hour early when I rolled up to the gate!

I’d rather be an hour early than 5 minutes late...

I got an unexpected call for work this morning at 9 last night, but my daughter wanted to hunt this morning. I put the job off a few hours, so I could take her. I got up and was ready when I woke her up, but she then decided she wanted to sleep in. So I’m sitting in our ground blind by myself thinking about what all I have to do today...

Hunted yesterday morning. Finally saw a deer from my stand at 945am. Big ol 4 point who's rack looked like a mule deer. He was walking at a medium pace, not really browsing but you could tell he had something on his mind. I grunted and bleated at him. He didn't care. At least they're starting to move. I'll be hunting hard the next 2 weeks, so I'm hopeful I'll catch the real fun.

Really foggy this morning and dead calm. First time in the stand I didn’t see a single deer this season.
