I don't even remotely believe 5% of those who support legalization are doing so for "freedom"........they want it legalized so they can get stoned without taking the chance of getting busted.

And even if it's only 5%, so what? Since when does exercising a right require external validation? Someone may choose to carry their gun because they like guns. Doesn't mean their freedom to do so is any less valid than if they chose to carry because they felt they were in danger from a stalker or anyone else.
