Inspired by students in the anti-war movement, former Sen. Gaylord Nelson and others helped to organize the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, according to EarthDay.org. It inspired about 20 million Americans to come out and demonstrate against the impacts of industrial development.

Sure... Happy Earth Day...
Good evening guys.
Got all the decking out up today. Had a few puzzle areas with angles and slopes but we were able to figure it out. Shingles go on soon. Fingers crossed.

Wife and I are still waiting for work in Alabama. Our youngest son called us yesterday to say he was buying a new kitchen range and needed our help. We have a pickup with which we could pick it up and deliver it to him. Which of course, means we got to help him install it when we got it to his house. That was fine with us as it gave us something to do. Installed the new one and hauled the old one to Habitat for Humanity. They have gotten a number of things from us with fixing up the son's "new to him" house.
Glacier seen on our Alaskan cruise and land tour in 2005 when on the train from Seward to Anchorage.
Apparently, little has changed...
Yes, I am. I still have a few slight adjustments to make but for the most part, it’s shingle time. LolAre you going to cut in a little hip off that gable end to the new roof? Going to be a pretty sweet porch when done.
Wry Interesting. Thanks for sharing.Interesting factoid; President John F Kennedy dedicated the Greers Ferry dam completion.
The next day he flew to Dallas and was assinated.
Congrats Terry,Good job on the construction, Dancer. Going forward is always great.
In our case, we got word this afternoon that we are to go to work tomorrow. Early in the morning plans to drive to the Tulsa area to get our assigned van and head out to Alabama.
Excited to go and learn new stuff.
