Close but no cigar.Little boy was the 3rd, it was what is known as a "gun type" bomb as it shot a pellet of uranium into the many uranium mass to start the chain reaction. Fat Man the second bomb was an implosion bomb, as was the first test bomb. They knew the "gun type" would work after the uranium mass "reacted" in the basement of the University of Chicago, the unknown was the implosion type, which gave better yield.
