If you have good reason why I should not carry a Makarov, I would love to hear it. Seriously. I think they're fine pistols and a perfectly suitable caliber, but if I'm misinformed then please educate me.
My Makarov has had almost a thousand rounds thru it since I acquired it. I traced the serial to East Germany 1953. I KNOW mine is more reliable than that turd of a Kimber I used to own. True, I carry an Olyellered 1911 when I have a coat on, but the Mak is a little easier to hide in warmer weather. And I definitely trust it with my life.
