Say what you want about newer ford trucks, the old beasts were hard to kill! Here are two truck revivals that show how tough these old fords can be. A bit of background on the youtuber. Junkyard Digs is a veteran who, with a few others, has a passion for old rusty vehicles and trying to get them running again.

I have a 1990 F150. Love the thing for nostalgia reasons. Compared to a Toyota, not even in the same class. It’s like they designed everything to fail except for the 300 six. Transmission is a Mazda. Lots of foreign made cheap parts all through it too. The back glass latch broke right off. Says made in Taiwan right on it.

My father in law has an old ‘76 F150 with a 360 4 speed that he have to fix up. Last I looked at it the body was in decent shape. Haven’t looked underneath yet. Even has factory A/C!

I learned how to drive in a Chevy 59 Apache with a straight six.
Traded that one in on a 67 Ford 1/2 ton white and dark blue with a 360 V8. For a 1/2 ton it was a beast. I remember pulling out the tractor when it got stuck out in the waterway of the wheat field. When dad retired he bought a fifth wheel travel trailer and drove to his army reunions. He had a 3/4 ton 89 Ford 390 four barrel heavy duty everything. It had about 97,000 on it in 2014 when we sold it to our cousin with the 5th wheel. It's still in great shape and has no problem pulling the trailer.

Man, she is begging to be revived! I loved that style of ford trucks. Functional yet a subtle grace to their lines. Those were the trucks that made the statement "Ford Tough".

I just wish this one was a 250 or 350. I’m not fond of long half ton trucks. But for the price I can’t really complain. You can see in the pic there’s a tiny bit of corrosion on the passenger rear cab corner. That’s the worst of it that I’ve seen. No big dents, doors open and close. All trim present. Engine was rebuilt and didn’t run right and it was parked.
