I took him to the taxidermist yesterday morning.
Am I the only person that sits in the stand and wonders what a 30-06 will do to a squirrel? Just to stay on topic, all the little fellas arrived this morning but not an antler in sight.

Don’t know about a 30-06 but I know what a model 94 Winchester 30-30 will do. I’ve taken many a squirrels head off with my 30-30 when I was a kid and that was the only rifle I had.
I’ve also shot prairie dogs with a 308 and even a 300 Win Mag on one hunt. Can only imagine that would yield similar results.
I've been tempted to do it while deer hunting, but never have. Same with coyotes on occasion. Depending on the circumstances, a coyote may, or may not, get a pass. Some of the easiest, best shots I could have had on bobcats were during deer season. Alas, it was always too early.
