One thing to keep in mind, not all 4wd vehicles are equal. My wife had a 1998 Honda CR-V that was just a flat out beast in the snow. In the 2009 Christmas blizzard I was practically running a taxi service. Could not get it stuck in the snow. I can't tell you how many 4wd trucks and SUV's I pulled out that winter. My 4wd Honda Pilot got stuck in the driveway. When it comes to mud, the Pilot is like the energizer bunny. Just keeps going and going...
