I forgot to add about my optics. I used to have a Zeiss Conquest 3-9 on it, but it currently wears a Schmidt Bender 6x scope.
I have never had either one of those scope brands. How do you like them? How do they compare to vortex? I have only ever had vortex and Nikon.

Savage model 340 (IIRC) bolt action in 30-30 that I owned at one time would shoot under 2MOA at 300yds with hand loads. Rifle shot well but never understood why that thing kicked like a mule for a 30-30. Shot Marlins and Winchester lever guns that didn't have a quarter the recoil.
Wow! Good job!

I’m here to learn not talk crap or listen to it. I love actual raw feed back
I know, I’m just poking fun at some of the discussions that have gone on over vortex on here. There’s plenty of more experienced and knowledgeable people on this topic than me, so I won’t weigh in.

I own 4 Marlin 30-30’s, and the one I’ve “tweaked” will shoot itty bitty groups at 100 yards. I’ve killed pigs with it out to 200 yards, and I shoot factory Hornady LeverEvolution ammo.

Before I started working up a load, I’d try the Hornady ammo.
Sounds like you have 3 too many!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just joking. Had a marlin 30-30 I bought in 1975. Sold it about 4 years ago. Wish I had it back. If you ever decide to release one I would be interested in taking a look.

Haven't shot the Hornady ammo, can't find any.
Did get some Leverevolution to load, but haven't shot any of it.
Have 110 gr V-Max and 130 gr Sierra HP and 140 gr Hornady Monoflex Tip to test.

With 110 gr powder coated bullets, group
1 1/2" @100 yards

Factory 150 gr and 170 gr ammo, the typical 3" - 4" groups.

My dad not 30-30 is a 02 Marlin 336 my dad bought new my junior year of high school. In 15 years he never shot a box of shells through in. In 2019 I traded him a really nice AR for it and when I zeroed it with 150gr cor-lokt ammo it shot sub moa out to 150-175 yards. That year I dropped a big ole buck with it. I took him the rack, casing and recovered bullet from the kill, he loved it.
