I'm betting those two thugs sue his pants off. I can see a Florida jury awarding them big damages.

The video is cool to watch and I applaud the guy. I wish we had thousand more just like him. But that video showing him pursuing and shooting and firing out the door will hurt him. He'll wish that video didn't exist before this is all over. Sad but true.

I am not sure, but I think Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law protects him. He felt was in danger of his life, and it would appear cornered in the cafe. He did not know if the men would come back, and as they initiated the threat by trying to commit armed robbery, and were still able to move, they could still be considered a threat, because of the intentions they showed initially.

I don't think our laws protect us as much as Florida's do their citizens. Anybody know? I believe that the old guy is immune from both criminal charges AND civil suit.

This was my guess as well. Also, this is Ocala which is a somewhat different demographic that South FL, or even nearby Orlando. Meaning it should work in the shooter's favor.
